Data Processing Configuration Wizard
The Data Processing Configuration Wizard contains all of the project-specific configuration related to the ConstructSim Work Package Server data model. The data model is designed to be in line with AWP best practices with respect to EWP, CWP, and IWP workflow and consists mainly of Components, Activity Types, Work Package Types, Task Types and Typical Steps, etc.
The pane on the left shows the main configuration steps in a logical order that reflects how a VCM is created.
| Components | Creates the main data model (the objects and activities for the project). |
| CAD | Creates data sources for processing CAD files. |
| Isometric | Creates data sources for processing IDF or PCF files. |
| Attributes | Adds any project-specific attributes that are not found in CAD or Isometric configurations. |
| Push Attributes | (Legacy tool) Copies attributes across piping components; mainly used for Isometric processing. |
| Import Lookup Tables | Imports standard lookup tables; majority of these are for Isometric processing. |
| Import | Creates XML mapping files to import data from Microsoft Excel in WPS Web. |
| Export | Creates XML mapping files to export data from WPS (imported above) to the data processing engine. This is used almost exclusively for Engineering List processing. |
| Unit Rate Files | Uploads the Unit Rate .MDB file(s) used in Task Processing. |
| Work Details | Displays the assignment of each uploaded Unit Rate file and in which workflow node it is used. |
| Hierarchy | Allows you to add\remove and re-order attributes used in the Component Tree hierarchy in the VCM. |
